Community visits
In February 2025 some of the Friends of Potter's Village Trustees visited Potter's Village to get an update on the project. Trustee Catherine, had the opportunity to go on one of the community visits with physiotherapist Julius and nurse Keti.
Catherine went with Julius and Keti to visit two mothers in a little settlement near Rutaka. After they visited the two mothers, they did further assessments at the outreach clinic at Rutaka.
Rutaka is over a 1.5-hour drive from Kisoro and Potter's Village. The two mothers they visited would normally walk to Rutaka clinic for their child's assessments but were unable to on this occasion. One of the mothers was unwell and the other one couldn’t get anyone to care for her other child. Julius visits Rutaka Health Centre once a month.
