A wonderful party for all.
Every child on the Potter's Village community support programme turned up for the Christmas party, which was held in early December. Winniefred (PV Social worker) had a good talk with their Guardians and Relatives and there was much appreciation for the Income Generating Scheme, which allows those children receiving financial support to save a % of this until they have enough to buy an animal or crops to farm. This scheme is proving very successful and has giving many of these children long term, sustainable support.
One person complained her harvest was not good enough but it was explained that Potter's could not be held responsible for the weather!
After cake and juice for everyone, they were given their bags of clothes and shoes and left happily. Our thanks to all who sent these items for them.
